Welcome To

The Center for the Indigenocracy of South Africa

Our Mission

Commemorating the legacy of Khotso Sethunsa through reclaiming the indigenocracy of Africans, prioritising culture, language, and the environment

Indigenocracy is a term that refers to the idea of indigenous people having control and governance over their own lands, resources, and affairs. It’s a concept that prioritizes the rights, knowledge, and practices of indigenous peoples in decision-making processes.

As an organization, Center for Indigenocracy in South Africa (CISA) likely focuses on promoting and supporting indigenous peoples’ rights, self-determination, and cultural preservation in South Africa. Our work involves research, advocacy, community engagement, and capacity-building initiatives to empower indigenous communities and address the historical injustices we have faced.

Some of the key areas we work on include:

Land rights and reform

Cultural heritage preservation

Language promotion and revitalization

Traditional knowledge and intellectual property rights

Community development and self-governance

Environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods

Advocacy and policy influence
